Today we had our annual family Christmas party. It was a night filled with dinner, crafts, games, and family. The night was very special and very eye opening. We are all getting older and growing towards our own paths. Our cousin group has been consistently tight for over 30 years, and while we keep in frequent touch, this connection is looking different everyday. Everyone is creating their own family units, life is officially changing. It’s hard to articulate exactly what this feels like, but sometimes I wish we all lived a lot closer to one another.
