Hi! My name is Chrissy and I am a two times blood clot survivor. The first time I ended up in the hospital was the scariest. I was separated from my family and we had no idea if I would come out. However, I was never alone. God sent just the right nurses and even someone that I already knew that worked at the hospital to pray over me before I went in for my procedure. Everything went well, I improved rapidly and was able to go home. I thought that this would quickly be something of the past. Until less than a year later I was back in the hospital with the same problem. I felt like a ticking time bomb. And I was deeply disappointed that my attempts to be healthy seemed to produce no results. I soon learned that that is not true. I began to appreciate the strength of my body as it had undergone some major stress on my heart and lungs, and yet was able to recover twice over. Though I’ve experienced certain side effects, such as hair loss, I continue to remind myself that there is strength for the journey. I find my strength and my relationship with the Lord. And I love my pendant that reminds me of that. This isn’t the end of my story. I have a purpose. And I want to share that strength with others.
