I’ve been sober for 5 years, and my incredible sponsor passed this on to me when I hit a rough patch. She had worn it always since the day I met her a year or so ago, and so the fact that it meant so much to her and she wanted me to have it to remind me of my own strength, it’s probably the most meaningful gift I have ever received from anyone my entire life. I will wear it every day just like she did, and cherish it, and then pass it on when I feel strong enough.
