Lydia is my 14-year-old niece. I gave her this pendant as she continues to hike through the mountainous, treacherous journey of Ewings Sarcoma bone cancer. She started this journey in 10/22. It is now 7/23 and although progress was good until a month ago, things have now taken a turn for the worse. The words “palliative care” have been murmured. But Lydia immediately said she of course wants to continue to fight… even after her mom told her that the journey will take them through harder trials that they have already come through. Lydia is undaunted. She is 14. She is loved and supported and cared for and not alone. This pendant is to give her continued strength.
